A New Year!

It’s a new year, and things are changing at Amycakes.  As many of you know, we are mostly a special-order bakery, and most of our business consists of creative birthday, baby shower, special occasion and wedding cakes or cupcakes.  These are our most time consuming orders and we LOVE creating one-of-a-kind, made from scratch desserts! 

It’s come to a point where we need more time to focus on these special orders, so starting on January 17th, we will no longer have a case of desserts for walk-in business.  We will be open instead for special-order pick-ups, cake consultations, and wedding tastings.  We will also have First Friday Art Walk tastings on the first Friday of every month and will sell individual hot cinnamon rolls and slices of our delicious cakes from 6-10 PM.

This change will give us more time to do special orders, which means we can take on more of your creative cakes in a week!  We’ll also be more available to do simple orders with only 24-48 hours notice.  Cinnamon rolls, cupcakes and cookies may be ordered in as small a quantity as six, and we also offer take-and-bake cinnamon rolls in six packs.

Would you like to place an order at Amycakes?  It’s easy! Call us at the bakery at 417-831-6095 during business hours (T-F, 8-4; Sat. 10-3) and place your order.   If you call outside of business hours you may leave a message with your name and number on our machine and we will return your call as soon as we can.
